Day 01

Moshi to Ngorongoro Crater

Morning & Afternoon: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Moshi. With a picnic lunch in hand, we drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 2,000 feet into the crater for a full-day tour. Measuring 22.5 km across, this breathtaking caldera is home to 30,000 animals drawn to its permanent water sources.

Evening: After ascending the 600m high rim walls in the late afternoon, we will drive to your premium lodge set on the crater rim for a well-deserved dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02

Ngorongoro to Central Serengeti National Park

Morning & Afternoon: Rise early to the symphony of the African bush. After a hearty breakfast, we set out on a full-day game drive across the Serengeti plains. Your expert guide will navigate vast grasslands, woodlands, and rocky kopjes, tracking migrating herds and the lions, cheetahs, and leopards that follow in their wake.

Evening: We return to your central Serengeti accommodation for a delicious dinner and a chance to relax under the starlit sky.

Day 03

Central Serengeti to North Mara

Morning & Afternoon: After breakfast, we depart with a picnic lunch and head deep into the Northern Serengeti. Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area. Our primary goal is the Mara River, where the migrating herds gather. We will scout the riverbanks in hopes of witnessing the chaotic and thrilling river crossings.

Evening: We check into our North Mara lodge or camp, enjoying dinner surrounded by the raw, untamed wilderness.

Day 04

Full Day at the Mara River

Morning & Afternoon: Today is dedicated entirely to the Mara River. Finding a crossing requires patience and a bit of luck, as herds may cross north one day and back south a few days later. We will spend the full day positioned strategically along the riverbanks, watching for crocodile activity and the dramatic plunge of the wildebeests.

Evening: We return to our lodge or camp in the evening to recount the day's drama around a crackling bonfire, followed by dinner and a restful night.

Day 05

North Mara back to Central Serengeti

Morning & Afternoon: After breakfast, we begin our descent back into the Central Serengeti. As a UNESCO World Heritage site and newly proclaimed 7th wonder of the world, this region offers an up-close look at millions of pounding hooves. We enjoy a picnic lunch en route and an extensive afternoon game drive.

Evening: We arrive at our Central Serengeti camp for an evening of leisure, dinner, and our final night in the park.

Day 06

Serengeti Sunrise to Arusha/Moshi/Airport

Morning: You will wake up very early for a dawn safari before breakfast. The sunrise over the African savannah is an unforgettable experience, and this is the absolute best time to spot predators when they are most active.

Afternoon: Following breakfast, we begin our scenic journey out of the national park, driving back to Arusha, Moshi, or directly to the airport for your flight home.
